Shipping policy
We ship from our shop at 12 West Main Street in Avon, Connecticut. We've been a family-owned business since 1972, so when you order from us, you're ordering from a real local store — not a warehouse. If anything goes wrong with your order, you can call us at (860) 678-0011 and talk to someone who knows your order.
1. Where We Ship
We ship within the United States only. We do not currently accept international orders. If you're outside the US and interested in our products, please contact us at info@avonvacuums.com and we'll let you know if anything has changed.
2. Free Shipping
Orders of $57 or more ship free within the contiguous United States via standard ground shipping. For orders under $57, shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
3. Processing Times
Orders typically ship within 2-3 business days of order confirmation. Some larger items may take an extra day if they need to be packed for freight.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. We do not ship on weekends.
4. Shipping Carriers
We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx — whichever gets your order to you fastest and most reliably. The carrier and service level are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and the speed you select.
5. Tracking
You'll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order ships. If you don't see it within 3 business days of placing your order, check your spam folder, then give us a call.
6. Damaged or Lost Packages
If your package arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all, contact us right away at (860) 678-0011 or info@avonvacuums.com. The carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) requires the buyer to file the claim, but we'll walk you through it and help every step of the way — including providing receipts, packing photos, and any documentation the carrier needs.
For damaged packages, save all packaging materials and take photos before contacting us. The carriers require that for claims.
7. Order Cancellation
You can cancel an order any time before it ships. Once it's in the carrier's hands, it follows the return procedure in our Return & Refund Policy.
8. Shipping Delays
If we're unable to ship within the timeline above, we'll email you with an updated estimate and the option to either wait or cancel for a full refund — in line with the FTC Mail Order Rule (16 CFR Part 435).
