Which part is for what
The bags are the disposable ones you seal and throw out when the canister's bag-full light comes on. The three pre-motor filters are washable foam, and the manual wants them checked monthly. The system filter is the annual part, and Kirby says it cannot be washed. After you fit it, hold the reset button for two seconds so the filter indicator clears.
Fit
For the Signature Series C530 and C550 canisters. Kirby lists no other machine for this kit. Part number S10047.
Can I use the upright kit instead?
No. The upright and canister kits have different bags and different system filters. This one carries the part numbers for the canisters.
Do the C530 and C550 use the same kit?
Yes. Both hold the same 4.1-liter bag and take the same filters, so one kit covers a household with either machine, or one of each.
