Soft nylon bristles on an adjustable swivel make the HX-UB the gentle tool in the Miele cordless accessory range. Material number 12410960. It is meant for the surfaces you would hesitate to run a hard-edged nozzle across: monitor and TV screens, polished furniture, shelving and other scratch-sensitive spots.
Which stick vacuums take it
Miele states it is compatible with all of its cordless stick vacuum cleaners, so Triflex and Duoflex owners are both covered. It attaches to the handle, to the telescopic suction wand or to a suction hose.
Using it well
- Tilt the swivel until the bristles lie flat on the surface and the plastic body stays clear of it.
- Use light contact. The bristles do the dusting; pressing harder only risks the finish.
- Pick the lowest suction setting that still lifts the dust, particularly near screens.
What it is not
It is a dusting brush, not a floor tool and not a motor-driven head. For upholstery or a mattress, the wider HX-UN nozzle suits better, since it covers seven inches in one pass.
