Regular or anti-odor?
Both occupy the same position. The standard pre-motor filter for Felix and Dart is 7012AM; this is the anti-odor version. Choose whichever you prefer, and remember that a filter name alone does not establish a complete vacuum's filtration rating.
Changing it
SEBO generally recommends new filters after 10 to 20 bags, or sooner if heavily soiled. Fit a new filter rather than washing the old. Check the position in your manual and follow the instructions for your exact model.

Carbon filters are chosen by people who notice smells when the machine runs. Hold the filter by its edge and fit it in the position just ahead of the motor, as the manual shows. Do not run the machine without a pre-motor filter in place. Keep the spare in its wrapper until needed.
