Why two adapters
They do different jobs. The 1766ST is a diameter adapter for the pet upholstery nozzle and the grooming brush where your handle requires it. The 1777ST is an extender that adapts the handheld turbo brush to D4, E3 and K3 handles.
Using the grooming brush
Introduce it only if your pet is comfortable with the vacuum, and follow the accessory instructions.
Roller maintenance
The 8366WS cleaning tool is for upkeep, with the vacuum switched off. Do the same whenever you change attachments, keep openings clear and follow the care directions for each surface.
Does the grooming brush need the adapter?
Yes, where your handle requires it. The 1766ST is specified for the grooming brush and the pet upholstery nozzle alike.
