If you live in a house with three floors of stairs, an Airbelt canister is the machine that keeps you from carrying an upright to the attic bedroom. The body rides behind you on wheels and the wand does the work. SEBO makes three sizes, the compact K, the mid-size E and the full-size D, and each comes in Kombi, Turbo or ET-1 Premium trim.

How to choose

  • Kombi (K2 Kombi, E1 Kombi): a suction-only combination nozzle. Hard floors and thin rugs.
  • Turbo (K2 Turbo, E2 Turbo, D1 Turbo): adds an air-driven brush for area rugs and low-pile carpet without a powered head. The D1 gets a 40-foot cord and a 52-foot reach.
  • Premium (K3, E3, D4): the 12-inch ET-1 electric powerhead with four manual height settings for real wall-to-wall carpet, plus a parquet brush for the hardwood. The D4 is the one for a big house.

From the bench: The Airbelt bumper around the body is there because canisters meet furniture legs. It works, and it is also why we see so few cracked housings on these.

SEBO Medalist dealer. Registered machines bought here get the extended 10-year motor, 10-year non-wear parts and 7-year labor warranty. Try all three sizes in Avon, CT, or call (860) 678-0011.
