SEBO Airbelt E1 Kombi Bagged Canister Vacuum

Some canisters are made to do more. The E1 Kombi is made to do less, on purpose. It is a compact bagged machine with a single combination nozzle, retractable bristles and no carpet brush at all. If your home is mostly hard floor, the simplicity is the selling point.

One floorhead, two positions

Lower the nozzle’s bristles for rugs, retract them for hard floors. That is the whole system. Turn suction down on the canister body for upholstery or lighter fabrics, and use the crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle and dusting brush stored on board for everything else.

Who it suits

Mostly bare floors, delicate rugs whose makers approve suction-only care, and pet hair that sits on top of the surface. If you want more from your rugs, the E2 Turbo adds an air-driven brush. For an electric carpet head, the E3 Premium is the machine.

Weight and noise

SEBO lists the body at 11.4 lb and the sound level at 58 dBA. The hose, wand and nozzle are separate, so the assembled kit weighs more. Cord length is 25 feet with a 37-foot radius; the cord rewinds with a button.

Bags are 8300AM. If the window on the canister turns orange, airflow is low: a full bag, a clog or a dirty microfilter can cause it, and a thermal cut-off stops the motor if it persists. Fine dust can do this before the bag looks full. Replace filters rather than washing them, and use each bag once. This model has no HEPA option listed.

Keep the canister on a stable surface when you do stairs, and work with the hose and a smaller tool.

A question worth asking

Can I add a carpet brush later?

Not an electric one. The E1’s hose and wand carry no wiring, so they cannot run the ET-1 head. Buyers who suspect they will want one are better served by the E3 Premium from the start, and buyers who only need a rug pass should look at the E2 Turbo.

Warranty

Your E1 carries SEBO’s household warranty bonus once you register it under our dealer code: 10 years on motors, 10 years on non-wear parts, 7 years on labor, compared with 7 years on motors and 5 on non-wear parts and labor in SEBO’s standard terms. Put the E1 receipt and certificate in the same drawer. Wear items, routine maintenance and commercial use are left out of the E1 coverage.
