Why this one is different from most cords
SEBO designed the Mechanical with the cord outside the machine. The maker says a damaged cord can be replaced quickly without tools or a technician, and that a cord-lock mechanism in the handle protects it from strain. SEBO also points owners to a video, reachable by QR code, on replacing the cord. The machines carry a 39-foot cord.

SEBO lists 501843 for both. Tagged model numbers are 91303AM and 91313AM; the label tells you which you own. Compare the 300 Mechanical and the 350 Mechanical.
Is it an extension cord?
No. It is the model-specific lead that powers the vacuum, a repair part and not an accessory.
Do I need a technician?
Not according to SEBO, for this design. Unplug the vacuum first, then follow SEBO's video and the manual for the exact steps. Check that the cord seats and locks in the handle before you plug in.
