The XXL hand-piece is the connector between the handle and the telescopic tube, with its own air-inlet valve for adjusting suction at the handle. It is a small part, but the one that carries both the wand and the valve.
What it does
It links the two, and the valve built into it lets you reduce suction at your hand without reaching for the machine.
When to replace it
Replace it when the matching component of your handle is damaged or worn. Compare reference 7586107 and its connections with your existing handle assembly first.
After fitting
Check the hose and wand connections, and operate the valve once to be sure it moves freely in its new position.

Is this the whole handle?
