The Miele Blizzard CX1 Pure Suction is a bagless canister with straight-suction tools for hard floors and rugs that do not require rotating agitation. The included Parquet Twister’s pivoting joint is useful around furniture legs and floor edges.

Floor tools and handling

Use the Parquet Twister for suitable smooth hard floors and the AllTeQ when you need its manually selected carpet or hard-floor position. Neither supplied tool has a powered roller. A carpet that calls for electric agitation needs a different head package.

Adjust the rotary suction dial to the surface instead of leaving every task at maximum. Lower suction can make an upholstery tool or rug easier to release. The carry handle and caster-supported body help move the vacuum between rooms; the cord rewinds with one touch. Use the parking connection with a compatible suction floorhead for pauses, and guide the plug when rewinding the cord.

Emptying and filter care

The Blizzard separates coarse dirt in the main container from fine dust in a separate chamber. Empty before the MAX mark and keep the container close to the waste bin to limit escaping dust. Its ComfortClean function automatically cleans the fine-dust filter when needed; the button also starts a manual cycle.

Follow the manual’s twice-yearly fine-dust chamber cleaning procedure, or clean earlier if its warning indicates a restriction. Rinse the specified fine-dust filter surfaces under cold water without detergent and allow at least 24 hours to dry before reinstalling. The lifetime exhaust filter is not the part to rinse; never assume every filter in the machine is washable.

Switch off and unplug before clearing a hose obstruction or cutting hair from a roller. Bagless collection removes the recurring bag purchase, but it still requires bin emptying and the model’s filter maintenance.

Warranty and service

Miele’s current U.S. limited warranty lists 3 years for this household model, subject to its terms. Keep the purchase receipt for a claim. Routine maintenance and normal wear are excluded; commercial use has separate terms.
