The Duoflex with a wall mount that releases it one-handed
Two additions separate the Extra from the base Duoflex HX1, and both change how you use it: Miele's SpeedLock wall arrangement, which holds the vacuum on the wall and lets it go with one hand, and a flexible universal brush that bends into the places a stiff dust brush cannot. The machine is otherwise the same 7-pound cordless with the self-adjusting MultiFloor electrobrush, two power levels, Hygiene filters, a 2500 mAh battery and a listed 55 minutes on low without the floorhead. The SpeedLock is the knife block beside the stove: the knife you can grab without looking is the knife you use.

Think twice if
- You want the full accessory set. The Duoflex HX1 Total Care adds a flexible hose, a long flexible crevice nozzle and a motor-driven Electro Compact brush to this package.
- You will lean it in a corner and never mount it. The base Duoflex HX1 is the same machine without the SpeedLock or the universal brush, for less.
- You have a pet and rugs. The Duoflex family is light-duty; the Triflex HX2 Cat & Dog with its larger electrobrush and HX-EC 20 hand tool is the cordless for that house.

Avon Vacuums is an authorized Miele dealer, so the Duoflex HX1 Extra comes with Miele's manufacturer warranty; register the machine with Miele once it is on the wall. Shipping is free to the contiguous U.S. for orders of $75 and up, and most orders leave our shop within 2 to 3 business days. A factory-sealed, unused machine can be returned within 30 days, with the buyer paying the return shipping. A machine that has been used is a Miele warranty matter, and we help you with the claim rather than handing you a phone number.

What is SpeedLock?
Miele's wall-mount arrangement for the Duoflex. The vacuum locks onto the mount and releases with one hand, so it lives on the wall and comes off in a second. The base Duoflex HX1 does not include it.
What is the flexible universal brush good for?
Baseboards, radiator fins, vent covers, the gap behind the sofa and the dash of a car. It flexes to follow the surface where a rigid dust brush just touches the high points.
How long does it run?
Miele lists up to 55 minutes on low without the electrobrush. With the floorhead attached runtime is shorter, which for a daily kitchen pass is not a problem.
Is the battery removable?
Miele does not list an exchangeable battery for the Duoflex line the way it does for the Triflex. If replacing the battery yourself is important, the Triflex HX1 is the one to look at.
