Floor settings and above-floor cleaning

Extend the floor nozzle’s bristles for compatible hard floors and retract them for rugs or carpet. The head works through suction alone, so there is no electric roller to agitate dense carpet. Where a carpet’s care requirements call for powered brushing, compare a power-nozzle package before choosing.

Set the telescopic tube to a comfortable length and lock it before cleaning. Fit the small tools to the hose handle or wand for upholstery and narrow gaps. Lower the motor-speed setting for delicate materials; the air slide provides additional suction relief when a tool pulls too tightly against the surface.

Press the casing’s on/off pedal to operate the vacuum. Pull out only the needed cord length within its limit mark. To put it away, unplug, press the rewind control and guide the plug so it does not strike the vacuum or nearby furniture.

Bag and filter care

Unplug before opening the bag cover. Lift the bag holder by its handle, remove the used bag and slide the replacement cardboard collar into the holder until seated. Put the holder back into its guides before closing the lid. Use the exact T1400 bag format rather than assuming another Titan canister bag fits.

Fine dust can restrict airflow before the bag appears full. Check the hose and filter when suction falls, and replace the bag as needed. The motor-protection and exhaust filters are separate parts; changing the bag does not replace them.

The T1400 manual permits rinsing specified filter components and requires complete air drying before reinstalling. Follow the instructions for the particular filter location, and replace any damaged component. Do not run the vacuum with a filter missing or damp. The floor nozzle has no motorized brush belt to service.

Service and ownership

Keep the model and serial information for correct bags, filters and repair parts. Check the warranty document supplied with the T1400 for the applicable coverage and retain the purchase receipt. This is a dry-use vacuum; its removable bag compartment is not a liquid collection tank.
