Carpet heights and handle controls

Select Carpet to run both suction and the motorized nozzle. Select Floor to run the canister motor with the main brush and its headlight off. The electronic slider changes suction separately: lower it for a lightweight rug or curtain, and raise it when appropriate for more resistant cleaning.

Use the nozzle’s height pedal to choose a position for the pile. Start with a setting that allows the head to move freely; the lowest position is not automatically the most suitable. Check delicate carpet and rugs against their maker’s care instructions, and avoid leaving a rotating brush on one spot.

The wand release and nozzle’s quick-release pedal make attachment changes easier. Use the smaller tools directly on the handle or at the end of the wand; adjust suction if fabric seals tightly against a tool. The pet pickup tool is for smaller fabric surfaces; it does not replace the full-size carpet nozzle.

Emptying and filter maintenance

Lift the dust cup by its handle, hold it above a waste container and release the lower flap. Clear trapped debris, latch the flap fully and reinstall the cup so its handle locks down. Check the cup and air passages when pickup falls rather than continuing with compacted dirt.

The primary filter is 561014107. Rinse it with cold water about monthly, or when dirty, without detergent; the prefilter can also be rinsed when needed. Air-dry washed parts for at least 24 hours and longer if still damp. The HEPA exhaust cartridge, 591002114 (EF9 retail reference), must be replaced when loaded and cannot be washed.

Nozzle care and storage

Unplug before clearing the roller or belt path. The replacement nozzle belt is 591019102. A brush-jam or thermal warning requires checking for an obstruction; let the machine cool and follow the reset procedure before restarting. Keep the hose, wand and nozzle air passages clear.

Guide the plug while using the cord rewind. Disconnect and loosely coil the hose for storage without twisting or kinking its covering. Avoid lifting the canister by the hose or using the power cord as a handle.

Warranty and service

The Titan manual lists a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for household use. Use outside a private household reduces coverage to 90 days. Normal wear, maintenance and consumable replacements are excluded. Keep the sales receipt and model/serial details; warranty repairs follow the manufacturer’s authorized-service requirements.
