Carpet heights and handle controls

Select Carpet to run both suction and the motorized nozzle. Select Floor to run the canister motor with the main brush and its headlight off. The electronic slider changes suction separately: lower it for a lightweight rug or curtain, and raise it when appropriate for more resistant cleaning.

Use the nozzle’s height pedal to choose a position for the pile. Start with a setting that allows the head to move freely; the lowest position is not automatically the most suitable. Although the T9500 is specified for plush carpet, construction and backing still affect push effort. Check unusually dense or delicate carpet against its maker’s care instructions.

The wand release and nozzle’s quick-release pedal make attachment changes easier. Use the smaller tools directly on the handle or at the end of the wand; adjust suction if fabric seals tightly against a tool. The smaller powered pet tool is useful where the main floor nozzle is too large, but it still needs brush-safe upholstery.

Bag and filter maintenance

Use dust bag 17-2462-08. Unplug, lift the bag collar from its holder and fit a new bag with the collar fully seated. A check-bag warning may mean a full bag, clogged filter or obstructed air path; fine dust can fill the bag’s pores before its physical volume is used. Never empty and reuse a disposable bag.

The motor-safety filter is 591004123. The manual permits washing that filter with warm soapy water and requires thorough drying before replacement. The HEPA exhaust cartridge is a separate replacement item and must not be washed. Its exact part number is 591004125.

Nozzle care and storage

Unplug before clearing the roller or belt path. The replacement nozzle belt is 591004171. A brush-jam or thermal warning requires checking for an obstruction; let the machine cool and follow the reset procedure before restarting. Keep the hose, wand and nozzle air passages clear.

Guide the plug while using the cord rewind. Disconnect and loosely coil the hose for storage without twisting or kinking its covering. The hose swivel helps the canister change direction during use, while the eight-foot hose gives space to work away from the body.

Warranty and service

The Titan manual lists a 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for household use. Use outside a private household reduces coverage to 90 days. Normal wear, maintenance and consumable replacements are excluded. Keep the sales receipt and model/serial details; warranty repairs follow the manufacturer’s authorized-service requirements.
