Among the bagged Mieles we carry, this is the one that includes a motor-driven carpet head. The Classic C1 Cat & Dog pairs the SEB 228 electrobrush, with its own motor spinning the brush roll, with the SBB 300-3 parquet brush for hard floors and the STB 101 mini turbobrush for stairs and upholstery. Upholstery nozzle, dust brush and crevice nozzle are in the box too, and it runs on the 4.8-quart HyClean GN bag. The mini turbobrush is the pair of kitchen shears in this set: you are not sure why you would need it until you own one, and then it is out on the counter every day.

Why we like it
- The SEB 228 electrobrush is driven by its own motor, not by airflow, so it keeps agitating carpet pile at full speed whether the bag is fresh or nearly full. It is the tool that makes a canister work on wall-to-wall carpet.
- The STB 101 mini turbobrush fits in one hand for stair treads, the car, the dog bed and the back of the sofa, which is where the hair ends up after the dog leaves the rug.
- The SBB 300-3 Parquet Twister means the carpet head never has to touch your hardwood. Each floor gets the tool that was designed for it.
- A 4.8-quart GN bag with change indicator and automatic bag positioning. In a pet house the bag is your friend: the hair goes into it and stays there.
Think twice if
- Your house is mostly hard floor with a few rugs. You would be paying for an electrobrush you rarely use; the Classic C1 Turbo Team covers rugs with an air-driven brush for less.
- You want the same electrobrush package without bags. The Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog is the bagless version with the SEB 228, the same parquet brush and the same mini turbobrush.
- Your floor plan is large. The Classic C1 has a 29-foot radius on an 18-foot cord, and a powerhead package on the 36-foot Guard chassis is not something Miele offers in this lineup.

What is the difference between the SEB 228 and the turbobrush on the other C1 models?
The SEB 228 has its own electric motor turning the brush roll; the STB 305-3 turbobrush spins on suction air. On a deep carpet the electric head keeps full brushing speed where the air-driven one bogs down. That is the whole reason to choose this package.
Which tool do I use on the stairs?
The STB 101 mini turbobrush. It is also the tool for upholstery, car seats and the pet bed, and it works on the regular hose without any electrical connection.
Which bags do I need?
Miele HyClean GN FilterBags, 4.8 quarts, the standard bag for the Classic C1 family.
Is this a good choice for a house that is mostly carpet?
Yes, within a canister. If every room is carpeted and you want the power head to be the whole machine, an upright may still suit you better, and we will say so if you call.
