SEBO Essential G4 Bagged Upright Vacuum – 12-Inch Head

The Essential G4 is a carpet upright with its decisions left to you. Brush height is manual, in four steps. Suction is fixed. An electronic controller sits behind the scenes as an alarm system, warning you about a worn roller or a height set too high, and shutting the machine off for a full bag, a clog or a jammed brush. It comes in Gray and Black, with a matte finish SEBO describes as scratch- and scuff-resistant.

The 12-inch case

Head width should follow your furniture. At 12 inches, with a 10.5-inch cleaning path and edge cleaning on one side, the G4 suits tighter gaps between sofa legs, bed frames and dining chairs. The handle lowers flat for under-bed work and has an intermediate stop for rugs; a foot pedal skips the stop, and an orange slider closes it.

It is aimed at mostly carpeted rooms, including pet hair on compatible pile. If you often need to stop the roller for hard floors or delicate rugs, the Felix or an ET-1 canister gives you that switch. Want the same machine at 15 inches? See the G5.

Bags and what the lights mean

Order 5093AM bags; each is a three-layer, 1.4-gallon bag with a hygiene cap you close before removal. When the red “bag full or clog” light comes on, the G4 switches itself off after 60 seconds and the light then flashes. It can trip on a clog or fine dust before the bag looks full, so check the hose and head first. A worn roller lights “check brush” but does not stop the machine, and replacing the roller needs no tools. Bags are single-use and filters are never washed.

Stairs

Wand and hose together reach 8 feet, and a nine-foot extension hose is optional for a 15-foot total. Hold the upright steady while you work the steps, and lift the 16.9 lb machine before deciding it can live upstairs.

Warranty

Coverage on the G4 depends on where it was bought and how it was registered. Bought here and registered with SEBO under our dealer code, an eligible household G4 carries 10 years on motors, 10 years on non-wear parts and 7 years on labor. Without the bonus, the G4 falls back to SEBO’s standard 7 years on motors and 5 on non-wear parts and labor. Hold on to the certificate and the sales receipt for your G4. Wear items, routine maintenance and commercial use stay outside the G4 warranty.

Questions

Is the height automatic?

No. It is manual, with four settings, and suction is fixed. The X-series uprights adjust on their own.

Is HEPA possible?

The table lists HEPA filtration as available; the machine ships with S-class.
