One filter for the biggest Pro in the lineup
IDEAL's AP140 Pro covers the most floor area of the Pro series, and it runs on a single 360 degree cartridge, part AC1012. Fine prefilter, HEPA layer and activated carbon share one drum, wrapped around the intake so every path into the machine passes through all three. Change it about once a year, the way you would service any hardworking piece of utility-room equipment, and the big room it guards stays guarded.

Does the AC1012 fit anything besides the AP140 Pro?
No. It is the AP140 PRO cartridge. The smaller Pro models use the AC1011 or AC1010, and none of the three interchange.
A year feels short for this price. Can it go longer?
The interval is about 12 months in typical conditions, and cleaner environments can stretch it somewhat. Follow the machine's indicator; it measures your air, not an average one.
What does the carbon layer actually do?
It adsorbs odors and volatile compounds that a particle filter cannot catch. Kitchens, workshops and freshly painted rooms are where you notice it working.
