Think of the Blizzard CX1 Turbo Team (material no. 10829400) as a hard-floor machine that has been taught about rugs. It empties into a two-liter bin rather than a bag, and it comes with an air-driven turbo brush for low-pile rugs plus a Parquet Twister for the bare floors in between.
An air-driven brush, not a motorized one
The STB 305-3 TurboTeQ spins on the suction airflow, so there is no motor in the head. It lifts hair and lint from compatible rugs, but it is not the tool for deep carpet. If real wall-to-wall carpet is on your list, the Blizzard Cat & Dog pairs the canister with an electric head. A four-stage rotary selector sets suction, which helps on fabric or on a rug that wants to follow the nozzle. The data sheet also lists DynamicDrive, a park position for breaks and a locking system between the floorhead and handle.
The routine that replaces buying bags
- Empty the container before the MAX mark, close to the waste bin.
- Let ComfortClean clean the fine-dust filter, or press its button for a manual cycle.
- Empty and clean the fine-dust chamber once or twice a year, sooner if the warning reports a restriction.
- Rinse only the specified fine-dust filter surfaces, in cold water with no detergent, then give them at least 24 hours to dry.
- Leave the HEPA lifetime exhaust filter alone; it is not for rinsing, and not every filter in the machine is washable.
Unplug before clearing a clogged hose or cutting hair from the brush. In a pet house, expect to cut hair off the brush now and then.
Living with it
The listed 19 lb is the canister alone, so the full kit will feel different on a staircase. Keep the body on a stable step and reach with the hose and a small tool. Plan closet room for the body, hose, wand and both floorheads; the body is about 20 1/4 by 12 1/4 by 12 1/4 inches. When a part wears out, quote the material number above and we will identify the genuine replacement before you order.
Warranty
The household limited warranty Miele currently lists in the US runs 3 years on this model, subject to its terms. Hold on to your receipt. Routine maintenance and normal wear are excluded, and commercial use is covered differently.
